Updated: Updated text in 'Conditions and requirements' to reflect new reporting process in connection with the transparency initiative.
This revised open general export licence (OGEL) allows, subject to certain conditions, the export of a wide range of software and source codes for military goods, where it is either in support of goods or software supplied within the last 2 years, or is being supplied for a limited period for the purpose of evaluation.
This revised OGEL came into force on 1 January 2014. All previous licences are revoked.
You will need to state the exact name of the licence or the SPIRE reference on any supporting documentation given to HMRC.
