Consultation outcome: Bread and Flour Regulations 1998

This consultation invites views on the Bread and Flour Regulations 1998 and the continued need for mandatory fortification of flour in England with calcium, iron, niacin and thiamin. As part of the Red Tape Challenge Defra is reviewing these national rules and is issuing a public consultation on possible deregulatory options.

Any changes will apply in England only. Defra invites the views of all stakeholders who might be affected by any of the options discussed in the consultation.
