The test administrators’ guide provides advice to schools participating in the 2014 key stage 2 national curriculum assessments. It includes instructions for administering levels 3 to 5 and level 6 key stage 2 tests and returning test scripts (answer booklets or test papers containing children’s answers) for marking. The information in this guide builds on sections 6 to 9 of the ‘2014 key stage 2 assessment and reporting arrangements’.
Headteachers are responsible for ensuring all test administrators (anyone responsible for, or involved with, test administration) are familiar with the arrangements in this document. Headteachers and test administrators should comply with the test administrators’ guide. Schools that do not comply could be subject to investigation of maladministration.
This guide contains important information for test administrators and should be taken into any room where the tests are taking place.
