Updated: The SME action plan has been updated to include DH progress on SME spend targets, DH process improvement achievements to date and revised future actions for the DH and the wider NHS.
This sets out the activities that will take place to support SMEs during the department’s procurement processes. The action plan supports the government’s aspiration that 25% of spend goes to SMEs by 2015.
The updated action plan was signed off by Dr Daniel Poulter, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Health and the department’s ministerial SME Champion on 28 November 2012.
