Updated: Updated after the document was renamed to Defence community personnel information charter
This sets out the standards that members of the defence community can expect from the department when it requests or holds their personal information, how they can get access to their personal data and what they can do if they do not think that standards are being met. The charter conforms to the guidance from the Cabinet Office 2008 review of Data handling procedures in government.
