This consultation invites views on the draft Fruit Juices and Fruit Nectars (England) Regulations 2013 which implement the provisions of Council Directive 2012/12/EU of 19 April 2012. Member States must transpose these rules into their national laws by 28 October 2013 at the latest.
The new Regulations also consolidate all existing rules on fruit juices and fruit nectars to help simplify the regulatory landscape for businesses and reduce burdens. The rules will apply in England only. Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland will be implementing their own national rules separately.
