Updated: We are delaying the reassessment for some DLA claimants by 3 weeks until 28 October, following the consultation on the PIP ‘moving around’ assessment criteria, to give the government more time to consider responses and to respond.
This fact sheet is aimed at support organisations who work with disabled people. It provides information on how DWP will invite current DLA claimants, approaching the age of 16, to claim PIP. It includes details of what will happen in the 6 months leading up to their 16th birthday, special rules for terminally ill claimants and arrangements for nominating appointees.
